Name: Benjamin Kihara
Alias: Ben, Ki, Kay, Benki
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Race: Asian/Caucasian mix
Sexuality:
Religion: Secular, solipsism
Hometown: Rosewood
Current Residence: Rosewood Boarding School
Occupation:
Height: 5'9''
Weight: 133 pounds
Body Type: Thin, not particularly athletic.
Skin: Porcelain, clear, tans well.
Eyes: Dark brown, if not black. Wide and saucer-like.
Hair: Short, not kept in style.
Physical Description:Physically speaking, Ki is rather frail. He lacks speed and power, but has decent endurance to make up for it.
Personality: Quiet, reserved, somewhat voyeuristic and perverse as well. Tends to be kindhearted, but can be quite petulant. Has a rather easily hurt ego.
Likes: He loathes music. It's sonic wallpaper to him. He prefers a natural orchestra; the sound of nature. He prefers simple foods that he grows on his own, leading to him being called a "plant boy" or "green hippie." In truth, he loves meat as much as the next guy, and actually drives a pickup truck, but prefers to grow his own food out of fascination. Reads frequently, but lacks an overall structure to what he does.
Dislikes: Being controlled, talked down to, and yelling in general. He hates hotheaded and irrational and prefers to keep his cool sense of logic.
Fears: His childhood asthma sneaking back up on him. Is mildly claustrophobic, though it only shows when he is panicked.
Family: His father was an Asian college professor, and his mother was a Caucasian writer. He loves them both, but rarely speaks to them now.
History: Born into an comfortably wealthy, intelligent family, Benjamin Kihara lived his life sheltered. This lack of adversity allowed him boundless curiosity, and never once did the jaws of fear give him the proper nibble to tell him that life wasn't always so cushioned. He learned quickly and well, and saw through to straight A's and honor classes. He took up philosophy and writing, interests that his father and mother both held and fostered. By the time he reached his sixteenth year, he was practically ready to start his first novel. Life in boarding school had already supported his march towards intellectual greatness and everyone he knew knew it too. The kids of lesser intelligence didn't bully him, pick on him or ostracize him. They beat him. It was the Rosewood way. They beat him, and like tradition, they marched him to the asylum and left him there.
That's when he heard them. They spoke of things that he himself could not bring to bear, not yet, and so he fled. Back to reality. Back to safety. But in the end, he knew his cradled existence was going to end, and soon. That scared him the most.
Strengths: His calm and intelligence are his greatest assets. Maintaining a level head allows him to come through most challenges.
Weaknesses: He is physically weak and somewhat naive about the way things operate with the less intelligent and the poor. His petulance, true or perceived, stems from this.
Extra Information: Wears glasses to read. Not for poor vision, but because he enjoys the larger letters.
Sample Post : TO COME LATER.
